Bailey Walker Ray, RN


Bailey was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She began her nursing career on the Neurosurgery floor at UAB Hospital. She obtained her Masters in Nursing and Health Systems Administration, and went on to manage the Medical Surgical Unit at UAB Highlands for five years. Her last 3 years she spent managing the Urology Department at the Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking at home. Bailey is very excited to be back in her hometown and have the opportunity to serve the community she grew up in through homeRN Tuscaloosa!

Bethany Smith, LICSW

Office Administrator


Bethany is a Birmingham native but has resided in Tuscaloosa since graduating from The University of Alabama. Bethany received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies and her Masters in Social Work. Bethany received her Clinical Licensure and has spent the majority of her career serving patients, families and caregivers as a hospice social worker. Bethany loves making home visits and cannot wait to begin visiting our Tuscaloosa clients with homeRN. Bethany has a heart for people and is grateful for the opportunity to serve God by serving others.

Toni Ricks, RN

Registered Nurse 


Toni is proud call Tuscaloosa home for the last 25 years after moving from Birmingham, Alabama for college. Toni has been a registered nurse for 20 years and has experience in multiple areas of healthcare including: medical surgical, post operative, dialysis, psychiatric and hospice nursing. Toni's passion is home care and helping guide families and clients in receiving the best care possible.

Toni and her husband have seven kids ranging in age from 4 to 18, four dogs, and a bearded dragon! Toni enjoys traveling, going to estate sales and watching her husband work her duck hunting dog, Millie. Between seven kids, four dogs and one reptile Toni has a full but fun house! Toni is excited to be part of the homeRN team to provide quality, compassionate care in her community.

Anna Hassell, RN

Registered Nurse


Anna was born and raised in Northport, Alabama. Anna graduated from Bevill State with her Associates degree in Nursing and then later attended the University of Alabama where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Anna has been a registered nurse for 6 years. She started her nursing career at Princeton Baptist where she worked in the emergency department for 5 years, and she has spent the last year in the cardiac post procedure unit at Druid City Hospital. Anna and her husband have a little boy and 3 dogs, she loves spending time with them in her free time. Anna is excited to be a part of the homeRN team and cannot wait to provide care to the Tuscaloosa community. 

Amber Strickland, RN

Registered Nurse


Amber Strickland is a registered nurse with over 14 years of experience caring for patients across various settings, including primary care, the emergency department, hospice, and urgent care. Originally from Monroeville, AL, Amber earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and later completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing at The University of Alabama. She’s proudly called Tuscaloosa home for the past eight years.

Amber is passionate about building genuine relationships with her patients and their families, bringing warmth, knowledge, and heart to every visit.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her spending time outdoors or traveling with her husband and their two little boys. She’s excited to be part of the homeRN team and looks forward to serving the Tuscaloosa community.
