Birmingham, AL (April 28, 2025) — homeRN, the premier concierge in-home nursing and caregiving franchise, has officially expanded its footprint with the recent opening of its newest location: homeRN Hoover Vestavia. Opened on April 7, 2025, and led by twin sisters Alyssa Weyandt and Emily Harmon, each with nearly two decades of nursing experience, the new territory is bringing personalized, high-quality care directly into the homes of Hoover and Vestavia Hills residents.

With a combined 18 years of nursing experience in specialties ranging from cardiology and intensive care to home infusion and hospice, Weyandt and Harmon are uniquely equipped to serve their community with compassion and skill. “We’ve spent the last decade supporting individuals and families through some of their most vulnerable moments,” Weyandt shared. “We understand how stressful it can be to care for a loved one at home, and we believe in-home support should feel seamless, comforting, and deeply personal.”

Their decision to launch a homeRN location was inspired by the brand’s growing reputation and a connection to the Founder, Eliza Maxwell. “We’ve known Eliza for many years and have followed her incredible work with homeRN in Birmingham and beyond. When the opportunity came to partner professionally and bring these services to our own backyard, we couldn’t say no.”

The sister’s connection to the area runs deep. “We grew up in Hoover. Alyssa lives in Vestavia Hills, and I still live in Hoover,” Harmon said. “These are our neighborhoods, our schools, our grocery stores, and our people. There’s no better place for us to offer care.” As healthcare continues shifting toward home-based, concierge-level services, the team believes homeRN is a perfect fit. “Our community is looking for convenience, trust, and personalization in healthcare. homeRN delivers all of that and more.”

From day one, their goal has been to build a team that reflects their values: competence, compassion, and connection. “We’re hiring caregivers and nurses who share our heart for this work. We’re committed to delivering the consistent, thoughtful care homeRN is known for with every visit, every time,” said Weyandt.

homeRN Hoover Vestavia is actively partnering with local home health and hospice agencies, care management companies, primary care clinics, and assisted living communities. Their long-standing relationships with local hospitals, case managers, and social workers provide a strong foundation for building trusted referral networks across the region.

"The connection and dedication these two have to serving the families and elderly residents in their community is exactly what we look for in franchisees," said Eliza Maxwell, Founder and CEO of homeRN. "They both have incredible industry experience, a ton of heart, and have already impacted the homeRN family.”

The grand opening of Hoover Vestavia marks the 9th open homeRN location. For more information about this new territory or to schedule an in-home consultation, please contact the location directly at www.homerncare.com/hoovervestavia.
